The Indianapolis City Market presented “Reclaiming The Space” a public street art trail installation which took place on Halloween in 2020. In partnership with Deonna Craig, we brought together 17 Indianapolis-based visual artists to paint the barricades that the City Market was surrounded by during the Market Street construction and street enhancements. This was a free family event, open to the public. We are continuing to engage with these talented artists in a variety of ways. Come meet some of the artists in person and support them by purchasing some of their works at Jingle & Mingle which will take place on Wednesday, December 8th from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Deonna Craig is a full-time visual artist & art instructor. She received her degree in Communication & Sociology from DePauw University, but art is her true calling. Deonna is the 2021-2022 Visiting Artist at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum and the 2020-2021 Virtual Resident Artist at The Madam Walker Legacy Center. She is also the President of the Eighteen Art Collective composed of the 18 artists that painted the Black Lives Matter mural on Indiana Avenue.
